Lumps Like Water On The Eyelid?
Doctor’s night. After 3 weeks, my eye infection is better but the lump is like water on the eyelid which has been shrinking even if there is no enlargement, even though my eyes are not sore just below the lid is still red. Is that serious?
Hello Rya, thank you for consulting us on HealthReplies.com.
Basically the area of the eye both the skin part of the eyelid is an area that is quite sensitive. so that if there is irritation or disturbance in the eyelid area it will appear as if the eyes are swollen. This is because the area of the eyelid is loose soft tissue, which is very easy to hold tears or eye fluid so that the eyelids will look swollen and swollen. Many conditions cause the eyelids to become lumps or swellings, such as allergies that trigger chemical compounds that cause eye swelling, redness, watering and itching, due to wrong sleeping positions such as sideways or prone overnight, which is caused by fluid accumulating underneath eyes during sleep, and also lack of sleep which can cause the skin to become pale and dull which is easy to collect fluid under the eyes.
When you have an infection, there is an inflammatory process in the affected area or area, and usually if it occurs in the eyelid it is very easy to make the eyelid swell even though a little. If the condition of your eye infection is now reduced then it indicates that the therapy has had a good effect on the infection. However, if until now your eyelids are still not shrinking, you don't need to worry. To reduce this you can do a cold compress using a washcloth or a small towel moistened with cold water / water from the refrigerator. And enough of your rest by avoiding staying up late. So that we can convey, hopefully useful.
