Hello Apriano, thank you for asking.
Herpes consists of two types, namely shingles and shingles. Shingles is caused by the varicella zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox. When someone is exposed to chickenpox and then recovered, the virus will not disappear completely from the body. Some viruses will stay on the nerves, in an inactive condition. In certain people, when the body's immunity decreases, the varicella zoster virus can reactivate and cause shingles. Herpes is similar in appearance to smallpox, but does not spread throughout the body, but only in one body location. The location of the skin affected by herpes is according to the location of the nerves which are inhabited by the virus. Symptoms are pain, heat or tenderness at the location of herpes, fever, and pain in the bones and joints.
Herpes simplex is caused by the herpes simplex virus 1 and 2. Herpes simplex is a type of sexually transmitted disease. Symptoms and appearance are similar to shingles, but are commonly found in genitalia (vagina, labia, penis, scrotum), anus, groin, lips, mouth, or hands.
Herpes is a disease that is self-limiting disease, meaning that the disease can heal itself, provided the person's immune system is good. Generally herpes lasts for 1-2 weeks. Drugs or topical medications are only to reduce the uncomfortable symptoms felt by the patient, not to overcome the cause. After recovering, the herpes virus will still be in the body, and can be active again at any time. Therefore, the drug will not totally eliminate pain, only reduce it. Pain will remain, as long as the disease journey is not over. In addition, pain in herpes can last for months or even years after herpes dries.
We do not know what your mother's condition is like, so we cannot confirm whether herpes is dangerous or not. Please discuss with your doctor who deals with the possibility of healing your mother. In the meantime, the best thing is to get enough rest and improve your diet. Increase consumption of protein, vegetables, and fruit. The goal is to improve immunity so that herpes can be quickly resolved.
That's the explanation that I can give. May be useful. Regards.
