Measles Immunization In Children Aged 3 Years?
Assalamulaikum, I want to ask if a 3-year-old child has measles immunization, the problem is I forgot to give me the measles injection, but it’s not yet gone, if MR MR measles is already injected, I want to ask if my child can get measles injection again?
Hello Mrs. Wiwin Indah Lestari Thank you for consulting us on HealthReplies.com. Basically according to the Indonesian Pediatrician Association / IDAI, measles immunization has a schedule of 3 times, 1 time basic immunization, and 2 times booster immunization. Basic immunization is given when the child is 9 months old, then given a booster when the child is 24 months old, and the second is given at the age of elementary school children, namely between grades 1-6.
Immunization for your child should be given when he is 24 months or 2 years old, but if indeed your child has been given MR immunization, then measles immunization is not necessary. That is because MR immunization is a combination immunization, where immunization with one administration can be useful to prevent two diseases, namely measles and Rubella. So you don't need to worry and get confused about your child's measles immunization schedule being late.
What you need to know is, immunization is important for your child's health, because immunization is a way to protect yourself by forming immunity from deadly diseases for children. If the book is lost, then you should immediately report it to the doctor or health service that has been handling your child's immunizations, because it is important for you to remember the booster immunization schedule for your child in the future. Thus we can convey, hopefully our information can be useful for you. thanks.
