, I want to ask, the first day I had menses, the blood was dark brown and black and clotted like wet ground. Usually my menses have never been this black. Pain in the stomach but normal pain like the first day of menses, there is no pungent aroma in the blood of menses. For 2 weeks before menstruation I used bullet-shaped medicine and put it in the vagina (7 days), and probiotics that were put into the vagina (7 days) also. The drugs were prescribed by the doctor I visited because of vaginal discharge. Is the treatment of leucorrhoea affecting my menses blood turning black? Or are there other factors such as stress? Thanks before

Hello Neena, thank you for asking.

Menstruation for each woman is always varied during his life. Variations occur in the length of the menstrual cycle, the length of menstruation, the volume of blood that comes out, the intensity of pain, and other accompanying symptoms such as premenstrual syndrome.

Sometimes in a woman, menstrual blood can indeed change color and consistency. Sometimes bright red, sometimes black and dark red. Its consistency can be liquid or thicker. As long as there is no change in blood volume, there is no severe pain or other symptoms, then it is likely not dangerous.

Generally these changes are caused by changes in reproductive hormone levels. Regarding the effect of the drug, because we do not know the composition of the drug, we cannot confirm whether the effect is related to the color of menstrual blood or not.

Things you need to consider if, menstrual blood is so large that you may have to change pads every hour because it is full. Also pay attention if blood clots come out very much. Severe pain can also be a sign of danger. If there are any of these signs, immediately consult an obstetrician. Doctors need to assess your condition. The doctor may do an ultrasound if necessary. Treatment depends on the doctor's suspected diagnosis.

In the meantime you don't need to take any special actions. Please do not massage the abdominal area or consume herbs with unclear composition.

Hopefully this answer can be useful. Regards.
