Hello doctor, I want to ask on this December 8, I am brownish with leucorrhea 5/6 days, because before that it is often white and thick yellowish white without feeling sick. Then today I have my period, how is this doctor? Please help. Thank you
Hello Shire, Thank you for the question.
Did you experience complaints from past spots when you went to an obstetrician? What is your usual menstrual cycle? Complaints of mild bleeding / spots that occurred on December 8 last may not be menstruation but is bleeding outside of menstruation. This condition can be caused by:
Hormone disorders for example due to excessive physical activity, high stress levels, drastic weight changes, obesity
use of hormonal birth control
Leucorrhoea that changes color to thick white and yellowish can be an abnormal vaginal discharge that can be related to bleeding outside of menstruation. To be sure of course further examination is needed by a doctor. If this vaginal discharge persists or if it is accompanied by complaints of itching or pain in the genital area, lower abdominal pain, pelvic pain, or pain during intercourse, then you should immediately consult a specialist obstetrician for further examination. After this examination, the doctor will determine further treatment according to your condition. Meanwhile, you are also encouraged to make the following suggestions:
get enough rest and avoid excessive physical activity
maintain nutritious food intake, avoid strict diets
manage stress well
maintain ideal body weight
avoid free sex especially without the use of safety
avoid using tight pants
using underwear that can absorb sweat easily
Hopefully this information helps you.
