Menstruation Is Only 1 Day Accompanied By Low Back And Leg Pain In Patients With Ovarian Cysts?
Hello. Good evening. I’m aulia. I am 19 years old. I was sentenced to a cyst while sitting on the bench in grade 2 at that time I was 16 years old. I experience low back pain when menses, and pain in my legs. My body is feverish too. It only lasted 1 day. If for menstrual pain before menstruation lasts for 3 days. If when menses only 1 day. Is that normal? Apart from that thank God chapter and tub smoothly. And my period is smooth, and not like the signs of other cysts. Even though, my cyst is + -8cm. Is that okay? But lately. I was previously given the drug habatusauda from my doctor. Then I mixed with the consumption of capsules soursop leaves and gamat jelly. I don’t know why after drinking it my stomach aches. Previously I drank with the same medicine, it didn’t feel that way. After the gamat jelly, I changed to another brand like this. Is it because of the medicine? Or my cyst won’t work
Menstruation normally has a cycle of 21-35 days with menstrual periods of 2-7 days and blood volume released 30-40ml. Ovarian cyst is a condition of formation of fluid-filled pockets in the ovary / ovary. In general if the size is small, ovarian cysts may not cause symptoms, but if the size is large or the cyst ruptures, it can cause several symptoms such as menstrual cycle disorders, abdominal discomfort, pelvic pain, discomfort during intercourse, frequent urination, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, difficult bowel movements, flatulence, faster fullness, and giddiness.
Broadly speaking, ovarian cysts are divided into 2 types, namely functional cysts and pathological cysts. Functional cysts are part of the menstrual cycle and tend to be harmless. Whereas pathological cysts are not related to the menstrual cycle. Some examples of pathological cysts include dermoid cysts and adenoma cysts. In addition there are cysts that can affect fertility, namely polycystic ovary syndrome, and endometriosis cysts.
Regarding your condition, the size of the cyst is quite large, when did you last exercise control with your obstetrician? The doctor may provide treatment with observation for a while while watching the development of the cyst. For observation, doctors generally ask the patient for routine control so that a repeat ultrasound can be performed to determine the development of the cyst.
For herbal medicines that you consume, until now more research is needed on the level of effectiveness and also the risk of side effects associated with ovarian cysts. Therefore, if you want to consume herbal medicine, you should first consult with the doctor who treats you because the doctor is more familiar with your condition. Also, make sure that herbal medicines do not contain medicinal chemicals or harmful substances.
If there is a recurrence of abdominal pain at this time, you should check your obstetrician again so that you can re-evaluate your condition so the doctor can provide further treatment. Follow up handling will be adjusted to your condition. Management of the cyst in addition to observation is with drugs and hormonal therapy and surgery when needed. Surgery on ovarian cysts will be considered if the size of the cyst is very large, causes severe complaints, or there is a possibility that the cyst is malignant.
For the time being while waiting to see a doctor, you should not consume drugs including herbal medicines without the doctor's advice to check your condition directly. You can compress the area that feels pain with warm water to reduce the pain that is felt.
Hope it helps you,
