Minoxidil Side Effects?
, after using Minoxidil, how come my head hurts and my body is a bit sore … Am I not suitable or what … do I get any side effects … Thank you HealthReplies.com
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Minoxidil is available in 2 preparations, namely oral (tablets or capsules) which are useful for treating hypertension, and topical (topical drugs) which are used to treat androgenic alopecia (permanent loss that leads to baldness). Minoxidil works by widening the diameter of blood vessels (vasodilator), including increasing blood flow to the skin area, thereby increasing hair growth.
It needs to be clarified first, what minoxidil preparations do you use?
Headaches and aches can be part of the side effects of using minoxidil, especially oral preparations. In addition, oral minoxidil can also cause other side effects, such as fluid retention, nausea, breast tension, increased heart rate, and skin rashes. Topical minoxidil rarely causes side effects of headaches and aches. Due to this consideration also, the use of minoxidil is only safe when done under a prescription and doctor's supervision, not as an over-the-counter drug.
Aside from the side effects of minoxidil, headaches and aches you experience can also be triggered by other factors, such as lack of rest, stress, viral or bacterial infections, hypertension (high blood pressure), hypercholesterolemia (high blood cholesterol), rheumatoid arthritis. (arthritis due to autoimmune disorders), and so on.
If the complaint is very disturbing, you should check with your doctor right away. That way, the doctor can determine the best treatment so that your complaint will subside. The doctor will also evaluate whether the use of minoxidil that you are doing is based on the right indications and with the right way too.
In the meantime, you can take paracetamol first so that your headaches and aches subside. Get plenty of rest and keep your body in shape with lots of exercise.
Hope it helps ..
