Moles Are Scratched Until Wide?
Good night. My 4th grade brother had a mole on his face, the mole was slightly raised, because my brother was not confident, finally the mole was scratched with the aim of being lost, but the mole widened and still protruded slightly. Is my sister’s mole dangerous? And what should I do for my sister?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Moles are actually just melanocytes (skin color cells) that grow and accumulate in one particular area of skin. Most moles are harmless even though there are also malignant moles. The following are some of the characteristics of a malignant / dangerous mole:
moles grow quickly
a mole whose shape changes from the shape of the previous mole
moles whose edges are unclear and uneven
a mole whose shape is not symmetrical
moles that have irregular colors (there are several colors in 1 mole)
large moles (more than 6 mm)
there are symptoms such as itching or pain in moles
a mole that is easily injured or bleeding
If indeed your sister experiences the symptoms above, you should advise your parents to take your sister to a dermatologist for further examination. If indeed your sister scratches a mole because it is uncomfortable with the presence of the mole (there are no symptoms whatsoever just scratched), then there is a possibility of irritation or infection in the mole. If you see clear signs of infection (enlarged wounds, appear festering, give off a bad odor), immediately take it to the dermatologist as well. If it only looks flushed, then your little brother can compress his mole with a cold compress to soothe inflammation in his mole. Furthermore, do not scratch or scratch the mole again because it can cause sores and infections of the skin. If your sister feels uncomfortable with the presence of a mole on the face, advise your parents to take your sister to a dermatologist so that you can remove the mole on his face.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
