Good morning … I want to ask, before … Since I was a child, I had a problem with my stomach. Up to a year ago I had had high stomach acid, and since that was finished eating my nose, I always had excessive mucus like a heavy cold, even though I didn’t eat spicy food. Initially I was not affected but because it has been a long time since I became curious and when eating in public places is very annoying. I also have a history of tonsils and was diagnosed with a cold allergy. Please enlighten me and advice! Thank you.

Hello!

Thank you for using the HealthReplies.com consulting service
Gastric acid disease is also called Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). this disease is caused by an increase in stomach acid into the esophagus / esophagus. Various complaints that often arise include discomfort in the pit of the stomach, chest pain, chest burning, discomfort in the larynx such as bitter, nausea, vomiting, frequent coughing, bad breath, disruption in teeth, increased amount of saliva, etc.
GERD can indeed cause symptoms in the respiratory tract, mouth and teeth because stomach acid that is similar to corrosive substances will cause interference if its presence outside the stomach.
Associated with a nose that often secretes mucus, generally this is normal. Keep in mind that the airways from the nose to the bronchiocci produce mucus from epithelial cells along the airways that function to protect against various germs and foreign objects from outside the body. Increased mucus in the airways is generally caused by allergies or infections. Allergies such as dust, pollution and environmental temperature can affect mucus production in the nose or in other respiratory tracts.
An increase in mucus in the nose may not be related to stomach acid disease that you are suffering from. Although GERD can cause symptoms in the respiratory tract, it rarely increases the amount of mucus in the nose. The influence of the environment has a quite closely related condition.
But to be sure, it requires a direct physical examination to determine the condition and the possible exact causes that you are experiencing. Therefore, evaluating and discussing directly with the nearest doctor is an effort that we recommend that you obtain certainty regarding the perceived complaints.
Some of the following suggestions you can do to help reduce complaints, including:

Eat nutritious foods Avoid spicy foods, coconut milk and high fat Avoid lying down position after eating Use a mask to cover the nose and mouth to avoid direct exposure to dust when outside Expand the consumption of fluids Regular exercise Avoid activities that are too heavy Rest enough to avoid stress, coffee and cigarettes information that I can convey, hopefully it helps
