My Blood Sugar Level Is 38 Is It Dangerous?
People's blood sugar levels in normal conditions usually range from 70-108 mg / dl, low sugar levels to a value of 38 mg / dl is a condition called hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is usually closely associated with diabetes because this condition tends to occur in those who have diabetes.
However, Pita don't panic right away, because hypoglycemia can also occur due to fasting, strenuous physical activity, side effects of the drugs consumed, metabolic disorders, to liver/kidney/pancreas problems.
Hypoglycemia should be treated immediately so that blood sugar levels are not too low, in the early phase of hypoglycemia will cause symptoms of drowsiness, palpitations, hunger, sweating, shaking, dizziness, and looking confused/dazed. If left continuously hypoglycemia can cause seizures and/or fainting.
Therefore, Pita should go back to the doctor to test her blood sugar level again, whether it is currently low or has been included in the normal blood sugar level. If this hypoglycemia condition occurs repeatedly, it must be found out what is the root of the problem, whether there is diabetes or other factors above. So that treatment can be done to prevent the occurrence of repeated hypoglycaemic conditions.
The advice for Pita is to eat regularly 3 times a day, eat at every mealtime instead of waiting until you are hungry first, then do not exercise too much (forced) so that blood sugar levels don't drop too much, then avoid taking drugs without any doctor's judgment. If you are on a diet or trying to lose weight, do it in a healthy way.
