My Nails Hurt After Dyeing My Hair?
Hello. So after I dye my hair with my hands. My nails are hurting. Especially when squeezed. Does this have something to do with me holding polish. Or maybe the chemical substance “polish” makes my skin under my nails hurt. Thank you
Hello Lifta, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Introduce me Dr. Rio will try to answer your question.
All you have to make sure is whether it occurs on all fingers or only on certain fingers. Some possibilities that happen to you are:
Paronychia. Irritant contact dermatitis. Actually the complaint that you experience is not so specific and rarely happens if it occurs on all your fingers. In the possibility of paronychia, an infection occurs under the nails marked by nails that stick into the skin layer. This can be caused by several things for example cutting nails too short, certain jobs, trauma to the nails. This can happen on the nails or toes. The diagnosis of paronychia must be done by physical examination.
While in irritant contact dermatitis, excessive reaction occurs on the skin due to exposure to substances that have an irritating effect (substances that when touched by others are likely to cause the same reaction) other examples: gasoline, alcohol, acidic substances, etc. Complaints that arise can vary, ranging from a burning sensation, burning sensation, itching, rash, swelling, etc. If this happens to you, chances are it will also happen in your head.
Right now what you can do is:
Soak nails with warm water for 15 minutes, can be repeated 2-3 times to reduce pain and swelling. Get enough rest, and keep your diet. Visit a doctor, to ascertain abnormalities. That's all the answers I gave.
Thank you :)
