Myasthenia Gravis Therapy?
I seem to have symptoms of myasthenia gravis. What steps should I take first? Are there therapies that can be done alone for healing?
Thank you Lulu for asking at HealthReplies.com.
I try to help answer.
Myastenia gravis is a disease that attacks the nerve muscles. This disease is caused by autoimmune, where the immune system attacks the body itself. As a result there is weakness in the muscles, weakness especially occurs during activity and generally disappears at rest.
A common symptom is weak eye muscles, which causes eye muscles to drop like sleepiness, double vision. Weak facial muscles so that sometimes it appears to incubate when smiling. Recovery can occur chewing and swallowing. If it attacks the respiratory system it can cause shortness of breath.
To determine whether you suffer from myastenia gravis, it is advisable to see a neurologist. Later the doctor will do a physical examination or additional investigations may be needed such as tensilon test. For therapy at home can not be done if it has not been consulted with a specialist neurologist, after examination and treatment, then the doctor will notify the therapies that can be done at home.
Hope it helps, thanks.
