Nasal Congestion More Than 2 Months But No Mucus?
Good morning doctor. I am a woman aged 22 years, it’s been more than 2 months I have a congestion but no runny nose. The first month I initially had allergies, which frequency was very frequent, in the last 2 months I started to feel a blocked nose even though my allergy had disappeared. What kind of disease do I have? thanks.
besides the mouth, the nasal cavity is the main airway for a human. In fact, human respiration is designed to occur through the nose, not through the mouth. This is because the nose has an air filter function through the nasal hair and the walls of the nasal cavity which contain mucous membranes which functions to prevent dirt contained in the air from entering deep airways such as lungs and causing problems. However, this system can also have disruptive effects when problems occur, one of which is when the nasal cavity is narrowed due to swelling of the walls. This can cause a feeling of congestion in the nose. Most of the swelling is caused by an allergic process that can be triggered by various things, such as cold air or respiratory infections. In addition, congestion in the nose can be caused by excessive mucus production. Finally, a persistent nasal congestion should be suspected as a symptom of nasal polyps. Polyps are growths of stem tissue, but they are not malignant and are not cancerous. Most polyps are caused by one of them is a history of repeated allergies in a person. To know clearly what happened to you, do not hesitate to consult a doctor directly. Here we attach an article about nasal congestion. May be useful.
