In hepatitis A, transmission through food and drink contaminated with feces of people with hepatitis A. Symptoms include fever, nausea, vomiting, pain in joints and muscles, dark urine, pale stools, upper right abdominal pain, yellow eye sclera. The immune system will eliminate the virus on its own, so it doesn't need special handling.
In hepatitis B and C, transmission through bodily fluids, such as sharing needles, having sex without a condom.
Hepatitis D is a rare disease, transmitted through blood and other body fluids. Hepatitis D virus cannot reproduce in the body without hepatitis B.
