Nausea Accompanied By Sore Throat, Coughing And Frequent Burping?
I’d like to ask. Is it like nausea, sore throat, cough, frequent burping, bitter tongue and upper stomach when pressed hurts are symptoms of stomach acid? Because this morning I finished eating the spicy eggplant sambal and immediately felt nauseous. Thank you
Hey Ciscisca. The condition you are experiencing could be caused by stomach acid, especially if you have risk factors such as stress, long-term use of drugs such as NSAIDs such as meloxicam, or corticosteroids, irregular eating patterns, the habit of lying down frequently after eating. Symptoms experienced include abdominal pain, especially around the solar plexus, a burning feeling in the chest, frequent belching, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stomach feeling full.
Apart from acid reflux disease, the condition you are experiencing can be caused by gastroenteritis, pharyngitis, ARI, cholecystitis, pancreatitis.
Consult with your doctor about the condition you are experiencing for treatment and further information. What you can do is
1. Avoid foods that are too spicy, oily, and sour
2. Avoid cigarettes, alcohol, and coffee, soda
3. Maintain a regular diet, consume small portions of food but often
4. Avoid the habit of sleeping or lying down after eating. Give pause about 4 hours before going to bed or lying down after a big meal
5. Manage stress
Specific treatment depends on the underlying cause. Hopefully helpful, and thank you. Greetings, Dr. Alyssa
