Neck Pain Every Time Before And After Sleep?
I want to ask, my neck always hurts. It’s been years. Every time I want to go to sleep and wake up, it always hurts, I have changed pillows, but it still hurts. The pain is like spreading to the ear so that sometimes it makes a buzz. What should I do? Are there any serious problems with my neck?
Complaints of neck pain often occur due to improper sleeping position, however complaints of pain in the neck can also be caused by several things like the following:
Muscle stiffness due to the habit of bowing or reading in bed, besides working / studying at a desk and bench where the position is uncomfortable can also trigger this.
Pinched nerve, a condition where the nerve in the neck area protrudes out from the neck segments, but then the protrusion is instead pinched by the segment
The existence of joint damage in the neck, can be due to a history of injury
However, what you experience is not necessarily the same as the conditions above, because it still needs further assessment of the condition of your neck and your overall health (holistic), so that more information will be added that can strengthen the diagnosis (medical conditions ) and plan treatment or treatment that suits your needs.
As for some tips and suggestions, do the movement of shaking your head clockwise and counterclockwise each for 1 minute every 45 minutes of work / study, so that the neck muscles relax and not too tense. Also try to sleep on your back and use a pillow that is not too big / high or low.
