Never Menstruated After KB Iud?
Tonight, I’m using KB iud. I was organized yesterday. But in November, I haven’t had my period yet. Are those signs of pregnancy? Whereas my child is still 8m.
IUD birth control is intrauterine contraception (in the womb) or what is known as a spiral KB that is useful for delaying or planning a pregnancy. This contraception has a very high effectiveness rate (99%) and has a higher effectiveness than contraceptive pills (92-97%) so it is very unlikely that you will get pregnant if the installation of an IUD is appropriate.
There are 2 types of KB IUD namely hormonal and non hormonal. In the use of hormonal birth control can occur menstrual disorders or even no menstruation. However, in the use of non hormonal birth control (copper IUD / copper) generally there can be an increase in the number and frequency of menstruation.
Related to this, you should consult directly with your doctor or obstetrician to have further tests related to your condition because apart from the use of contraception, menstrual disorders can also be caused by other medical conditions such as PCOS or hormonal disorders.
