No Appetite, Nausea, Vomiting, Bitter Tongue During Young Pregnancy?
Hello., I have been experiencing nausea and vomiting accompanied by bitter mouth for a few days, when I eat my stomach feels bad and feels nauseous so my appetite goes down, even though now I am pregnant, God willing, 1.5 months. So, I only drink milk specifically for pregnant women without paying attention to my eating schedule for reasons like I explained above, it can even be said that I eat very little a day. Is it safe for my fetus if I only drink special milk for pregnant women? What is the solution so that my appetite is stable and my fetus intake is fulfilled? Thank you
Hello! Thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com
If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, nausea and vomiting are normal due to an increase in the hormone HCG which is indeed high in trimester 1. As long as it is not accompanied by a drastic decrease in body weight, dehydration, frequent vomiting frequency, electrolyte imbalance, the vomiting is happen is still natural. However, if not balanced with adequate intake, of course over time can cause a lack of nutrition and lack of fluids or dehydration. Tips that can be done are:
Eat smaller portions but frequency more often Eat slowly Avoid consumption of foods with a pungent odor Avoid drinking too often when eating, to avoid full stomach quickly However, the vomiting that you experience can be caused by something else not related to pregnancy , for example:
Inflammation of the stomach or intestine Inflammation of the liver Consumption of too much food Vertigo Psychic influence Diseases in the brain, such as bleeding or tumors etc.
To be sure, you should check with a general practitioner first. The doctor will track if there are other unrelated diseases that are the basis for your nausea and vomiting. If necessary, the doctor will refer you to a particular specialist for further tracking.
As well as the tips mentioned above, you should also do the following:
Avoid lying down immediately after eating Avoid consuming spicy or sour food while complaints are still Hand washing before eating, especially if not using a spoon Consumption of foods that are maintained hygienic and not potentially contaminating
That's all the explanation from me, hopefully it helps and useful :)
