No Menstruation While Breastfeeding A 6 Month Old Baby?
Permission to ask. I am a mother who is breastfeeding a baby aged 6 months. When I was 4 months old, I got my period. But from after that period until now I don’t menstruate anymore. But if tested negative. Why am I not menstruating huh? Is it because of breastfeeding or something else?
Thank you for the question.
Menstruation is rarely smooth when giving birth often because it naturally occurs due to hormonal conditions that are not balanced, including due to the influence of the breastfeeding process, due to fatigue, stress as a new mother, weight that is not ideal, lack of exercise, eating patterns that are less awake, or also certain birth control used. It could also be that you do not menstruate for months due to pregnancy, or experience certain diseases, such as ovarian cysts, hyperthyroidism, ectopic pregnancy, and also pregnancy wine. If your testpack results are negative, it could be that you are not pregnant, but it could also be an inaccurate examination.
To be clear, you can check yourself directly to the doctor or obstetrician. Usually, through an ultrasound examination, or some other examination (such as blood tests or hormone tests), the doctor can do the best treatment so that your complaints improve.
Before that, don't just take any drugs, supplements or any herbs. Better, you multiply first to rest, keep breastfeeding your baby's milk, keep your body weight to be more ideal, regularly exercise every day, multiply eating vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, do not forget relaxation and adequate sleep.
Hope this helps ...
