Nodules Or Lumps In Post-injury Wounds?
, I want to ask. 20 days ago I fell off the motorcycle, my body collided. On the right foot there was a scratch, initially only red and now made a black mark and after I felt it turns out there are nodules elongated and slightly hardened. It doesn’t hurt, but it’s rather annoying. Are these nodules dangerous? Does the doctor need surgery? Thank you
Good evening, thanks for the question
It is likely that the condition you are referring to is dematofibroma. Dermatofibromas are benign skin nodules that arise due to overgrowth of connective tissue fibroblasts so that the skin layer becomes somewhat thickened.
Dermatofibroma gives a picture of a lump that is solid and can be blackish, reddish, or brown in color. These skin disorders often arise after minor trauma to the skin.
Dermatofibromas require minor surgery only if complaints tend to get bigger, change color, pain or cause bleeding. Tissue biopsy examination is needed to confirm clinical suspicion and to distinguish from other disorders. Other possible diagnoses that have similar complaints include keloids and hypertropic scars.
Consult with your doctor to be able to examine skin disorders directly and plan further treatment according to the final diagnosis.
That's all, hope you can help
