Normal PH Value For The Handsanitizer

Hello Alphonse,
Thank you for your question on Aldodokter.
Handsanitizer is an antiseptic material that is used for practical hand-cleaning media. Handsanitizer can kill germs in a relatively fast time, because in it contains alcohol with a concentration of approximately 60% to 80%.
Bacteria in general will die if exposed to alcohol above 60%. And alcohol does not kill bacteria or viruses. In some handsanitizers there are other ingredients that are for anti-fungal and anti-virus.
A good handsanitizer that has the same PH as the skin is 4.5-6.5. If you do not have the pH of the skin when used it will cause irritation or corrosion. Irritations that appear have symptoms, a burning sensation on the skin, rupture and redness.
Even though using a handsanitizer is very easy and practical, it is better to wash your hands using soap for at least 20 seconds, because it has been proven that the protection power is far above that of using a hand sanitizer.
