Normal Weight Gain In 6 Months Pregnant Women?
Good night, I want to ask, I’m 6 months pregnant, but my body weight only increased 7kg from my previous weight. Is it normal with bb to only increase by 7kg?
Weight gain in pregnant women can range from 0.5-1.5 kg per week. If you feel that you are gaining less weight, you need to find out the causes such as nausea and vomiting, psychological factors, insufficient food intake, or other causes. But this doesn't need to be too much of a worry as long as the fetus grows properly according to gestational age.
For that, consider whether your current weight is ideal or less. To be able to increase the ideal body weight, several efforts can be made such as:
Eat healthy foods such as vegetables and fruits. Eating foods rich in good fats such as fish, nuts, avocado Eat snacks at least 5-6 times a day Consume milk every day Take additional supplements such as special milk for pregnant women or protein supplements Check your womb every month with a midwife or obstetrician to monitor whether the womb condition is still good and the body weight is ideal enough. Because underweight can lead to babies born with low birth weight, premature birth or the risk of other health problems for the mother and baby.
