I want to ask, yesterday I had time to clean my nose using a sinus rense nasal cleanser bottle along with the salt, after cleaning I felt that something was stuck in my nose like there was liquid water left in my nose, I was very annoyed as a result I felt my nose was blocked overnight, how to get rid of the remaining water.

1 Answer:

Hi Aljenner,

Cleaning the nose and sinuses is a technique that is often used to reduce symptoms of nasal congestion due to allergies or infections.

Apart from the benefits, several side effects can occur, including:

Pain and heat in the nose and around it
A feeling of fullness in the ear, which if lingered will cause hearing loss and prolonged headaches
Nosebleed
Nasal congestion that gets worse
Infection

The things above can happen if this technique of washing the nose and sinuses is not done properly, or is done less hygienically.

Please communicate with your ENT doctor to find out more about this stuffy nose condition. So that medical measures can also be taken, if deemed necessary.

Our suggestions:

Avoid using other medical techniques without doctor's advice
Immediately consult an ENT doctor
You can use common decongestants either by mouth, spray or by mouth
Avoid things that can trigger allergies or colds to sneeze
Do activities such as exercising, to reduce nasal congestion symptoms
Wear a mask if necessary, when in areas with air pollutants, smoke, dust or cold.

Thus, hope it can help you ..
