Nutrition And Diet For Children?
I want to ask, is it true that children eat directly on a four-star menu … so in the FB group discuss this, but many say directly on the 4-star menu directly … but what I mean is that the child knows food … what first … Until 1 or 2 weeks I gave a single menu … it’s 7 days my son ate a single menu or not … thank you
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Based on recommendations from WHO (world health agency) and also from IDAI (Indonesian pediatrician association), giving MPASI to children can indeed be given a complete menu (or also known as a 4 star menu). This is recommended because giving only one type of menu will not be able to meet the varied nutritional needs of children. Giving a complete menu will be able to meet all the nutritional needs of children. A complete menu for children must include:
Carbohydrate sources such as white rice, brown rice, tubers Animal protein such as beef, chicken, mutton, fish, shrimp, etc. Vegetable proteins such as beans, tofu, Tempeh Milk and its processed products (cheese, yogurt, etc.). Keep in mind children under 1 year may not be given fresh cow's milk (including UHT, sterile milk, or pasteurized milk), but this milk may be mixed to cook colorful vegetables and fruit food (for children do not need too much) Eggs (may immediately given white and yellow) You may also add fat in baby foods such as vegetable oil, olive oil, butter, coconut milk, or other oils that you can easily get.
If indeed you and your partner have a history of food allergies, you can consult in advance giving food to children with their child's doctor. If indeed there is no history of food allergies in the elderly, you are advised to immediately provide a complete menu for children. You can also provide instant standardized MPASI for children. Instant MPASI is safe to give to children and has been fortified with essential nutrients your child needs.
The following is a link from IDAI regarding the provision of MPASI which you can read about
