I’m a 24-year-old woman, I want to ask a questionrnLately I often feel very sad, very deep and even think about suicide, the reason is, I used to work but I stopped because of my mother’s condition who was in the hospital at that time brother My biological mother asked me to take care of our sick mother, and I agreed to stop, but after a few months my mother started to get healthy, but I haven’t gotten a job yet, I am angry, and hate God, even I stop praying and blame him (my mother, my brother, even God), I often lock myself in my room, I don’t even want to tell or talk to my mother and brother, I always feel sad and angry when I’m at home, I feel like I want to go far from home, I want to live alone, I don’t have to there is a mother, father, or brother, I hate them, what’s wrong with me, do I have bipolar symptoms?

1 Answer:

Hi SiAmi. The condition you are experiencing is most likely you are depressed, which refers to a decrease in mood marked by feeling worthless, irritable, feeling sad, being more sensitive, and not having the motivation to do anything. The existence of certain stressful conditions, sad events, psychological trauma can be a risk factor for this. What you experience when you feel sad that you haven't got a job is a natural thing, but blaming yourself and others is certainly not the right thing. Moreover, you blame God and leave your worship. It could be that the opportunity you have now by God is hoped that you will pay more attention to your family, you can see other opportunities out there for a better job and as a test to assess your patience.

Accepting your condition and not giving up by keeping yourself closer to God is something that can help. Surround yourself with people who support you and keep trying to see opportunities around and maintain good relations with your family. Consult a psychologist or psychiatrist about your condition if you still feel depressed and moreover there is a desire to hurt yourself, others and especially suicide which is an emergency condition. Hopefully helpful, and thank you. Regards, Dr Alyssa
