Often Hungry, Distended Stomach And Heartburn Feels Tight When Breastfeeding
Hello, lately I often feel hungry then my portion of food is added more than usual and sometimes it can be 4x pdhl a day usually eating a normal portion 3x a day is enough. I think it’s natural because I’m still breastfeeding a baby for 6 months. But the longer my stomach gets bulging, every time I wake up at dawn, it feels so empty when my stomach feels so empty, then the area of my solar plexus is as tight as it is now, and now I often feel it. If you do something that uses energy, then you will feel like you are pregnant. Why is this, is there a serious illness? And what should I do? Thank you
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Feeling hungry quickly can be caused by many possibilities, including:
increased physical activity
pregnancy and breastfeeding
side effects of certain drugs
other causes such as excess stress, psychiatric disorders (including anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, etc.)
Given that you are currently breastfeeding, then the probable cause of your frequent hunger is that your energy needs while breastfeeding will increase. However, if you are not menstruating, have had sexual intercourse, and you are not using any contraception, you should try to do a pregnancy check up also by using a test pack. If the results are negative, try again 3-7 days later to confirm the results. If it remains negative, then you need to think about other possible causes of your hunger faster. To be sure, must be examined directly to the doctor. However, given the corona virus pandemic now, it is better to check with your doctor only when conditions are serious.
For now if you often feel hungry, try to increase the frequency of your meals, but reduce your eating portions (for example eating 4-5 times a day but with smaller portions than usual). Make sure you only eat healthy foods (don't eat foods that are not nutritious and high in calories). Also try to drink more especially before and when you eat.
I hope that I have enough information to answer
