Oil Splashes Around The Eyelids?
Good morning doctor, I’m 20 years old. My eyelids were splashed with oil in the base area (didn’t touch the eyes). Now the eyelids become sore and hot. The first aid water has been drained for about 10 minutes. Potreleum jelly smeared with ‘vaselin’. But still also sore. What should I do? If you have to see a doctor, you should see an ophthalmologist or dermatologist since my eyes don’t feel any effect. thank you
Eyelids that are exposed to hot oil splashes can cause burns. Burns that occur can vary in severity. If you have already drained water in the affected eyelid, then that is correct. Usually burns can still feel sore until a few days later. For the treatment of burns on the eyelid area, it is recommended that you check yourself directly to the eye specialist doctor, so that the doctor can provide the right treatment for you.
