Old Healing Tooth Extraction Wound?
Tonight want to ask? I have Feb 15 there is tooth extraction and then it’s already 2 months I don’t control anymore Just pay attention to how the wound isn’t completely closed yet there are still some red ones gt meat. Do you think it’s dangerous or not?
Is it revoked after stitching or not? After tooth extraction, it tends to be normal if there is a hole in the gum that has been removed. This hole will heal and begin to close around 1-2 weeks after extraction. But for complete closure by soft tissue, it generally takes up to 1 month.
The duration of the healing process can vary in each patient depending on the location or what teeth are removed, the presence or absence of infection, post-extraction treatment, nutrition, and there are conditions for example patients have a history of diabetes or not.
If it has been 2 months but the gums have not closed completely, I suggest that you control again with the dentist so that you can re-evaluate the condition of your gums. Then the dentist can provide additional treatment if needed.
While waiting for the dentist, you should keep your teeth and mouth clean with a toothbrush twice a day, rinse your mouth after eating, try to make sure that there is no leftover food stuck in the gums that have not yet closed, and don't pry the gums.
Hope it helps you,
