Hi doc .. I’m having my 6th day menstruation .. And my menstrual blood is still coming out a lot .. Is that normal doc? Tq doc ..
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Menstrual blood can normally come out in a span of 2 to 8 days. Therefore, still menstrual bleeding on the 6th day does not necessarily indicate an abnormality.
What you need to watch out for is, if your menstrual blood comes out in excess (more than 10 pads a day), prolonged (more than 2 weeks), or is accompanied by very severe menstrual pain that does not improve with rest and consumption of regular pain relievers. If none of the above conditions you are experiencing, then it is likely that your current condition is not dangerous. Menstruation can be a little heavier due to factors of fatigue, psychological stress, side effects of drugs, eating disorders, and the use of certain birth control.
All you need to do is, get enough rest, stay away from stress that is too heavy, exercise regularly, eat and drink that is healthy and nutritious. With a healthy and balanced lifestyle like this, menstruation can generally be maintained so that it is always regular and not excessive.
If then you experience one or more of the danger signs above, don't hesitate to go to a gynecologist directly. The doctor will do a comprehensive examination to rule out the possibility of a dangerous disease, such as endometriosis, myoma, uterine polyps, pelvic inflammation, and so on.
Hope it helps ..
