Yes, I want to ask yesterday, December 30, I just finished a cesarean section, after that I checked again with the doctor, he said my wound was dry, but why has it been 1 week since my wound was bleeding and a small thread came out accompanied by pus, I checked with the midwife at the health center but said the thread came out as a result the thread hasn’t been united with the meat of the katax, that’s the cause of the wound festering and bleeding…rnrwhat I’m afraid of is why is there a hole at the end of the surgical wound and in the middle of the wound there is also a small hole…r nap it’s okay” …

Hello yuni karambu,

First of all congratulations on your delivery. There are several factors that can affect the healing process of caesarean section wounds, such as caesarean section technique, the presence or absence of complications (eg infection), postnatal nutritional intake, medical history, patient wound care, obesity, etc. The average caesarean section begins to close within 1-2 weeks but the process for new skin and muscle to grow and reconnect can take up to 3 months (especially for vertical incisions the process is longer than horizontal incisions). In these 3 months, the newly growing skin is still prone to scratching.

Discharge of pus and blood after more than a month after a cesarean section can really indicate an infection that is at risk of slowing the process of reunification of the skin and muscles. The hole you are referring to could be a part of the muscle/skin that has not closed completely or a focus of infection. To be sure, it's a good idea to consult again with the obstetrician who handles the surgical wound so that the surgical wound can be evaluated and given the right treatment, for example giving topical / drinking antibiotics to treat bacterial infections or if necessary repairing stitches.

Make sure that you keep the wound clean by changing the bandage every day, washing the wound area with a sterile saline solution (such as that contained in an IV), drying the wound immediately after it gets wet, always washing your hands before handling the wound, if you cough or sneeze hold the scar with a pillow , avoid applying drugs / herbs without a doctor's advice.
