Sorry doc I want to ask. It has been almost a week since I have been feeling tired and having difficulty breathing. Feels like my throat is covered in something. I don’t feel any symptoms except that. Why is that doc?

Shortness of breath, tightness, something like a closed throat might indicate a problem with your throat (pharyngitis), for example due to infection, allergies, foreign body entry, viral or bacterial infections, benign or malignant tumors, gastric acid reflux, and so on.


It could also be, respiratory problems that you feel arise due to other factors, for example tonsillitis, laryngitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, bronchitis, asthma, pneumothorax, gastritis, panic attacks, psychosomatic disorders, congestive heart failure, drug side effects, and so on.


You need to check your complaint directly to the doctor, especially if you feel a complaint that is very severe, even difficult for you to even light activities. In order to detect the cause of your complaint, not just interviews and physical examinations, it may be that doctors will also direct you to undergo X-ray examinations, heart records, allergy tests, endoscopy, and so on. If necessary, you can also be referred to a doctor for an ENT or internal medicine.


Conversely, if your complaint is mild, it seems that staying at home while taking care of yourself as follows will be safer for you, so that your risk of contracting a dangerous disease (such as COVID-19) can be reduced:

Warm compresses to the chest and throat that are uncomfortable
Don't panic, worry, be afraid, or be overly sad
Discipline to exercise every day
Get enough and regular sleep
