I am 29 years old and I have a toothache … and I am drinking panadol but the pain doesn’t go away … can I take mefinal again in 1 hour?

1 Answer:

Hello Rido,

Toothache can be caused by several disorders, either on the teeth, gums or surrounding organs. Some of the causes of toothache include:

Cavity
Tooth infection
Buildup of teeth at the base of the teeth
Cracked teeth
Inflammation of the tooth pulp
Periodontal abscess
Impact or injury to the joint connecting the jaw and skull
Gum ulcers
Wisdom teeth growth

To treat toothaches at home, you can do several ways, including gargling with warm water, cleaning your teeth by brushing your teeth and gargling with an antiseptic afterward, cleaning food scraps and plaque using dental floss, applying clove oil, compressing with a tea bag, using pain relievers such as paracetamol. The use of pain medication alone cannot immediately work optimally, especially if the pain is more severe, for that it can be repeated after 4 hours and try not to be on an empty stomach so as not to cause side effects such as abdominal pain.

If the tooth pain persists, check your teeth at the dentist for further treatment, if necessary, medication or actions such as fillings, tooth cleaning, root canal treatment or tooth extraction will be given if necessary.
