Overcoming Old Blind Scabies?
Doctor, can the old blind scabies disappear? And what are the side effects if scabies don’t go away?
Blind scabies is a type of skin disease which is often called scabies, and in medical language it is called scabies.
This skin disease is caused by the presence of mites that enter and infiltrate the outer layer of human skin. This disease is contagious and causes symptoms of itching itching and a reddish rash that can even occur with additional skin infections.
These scars will usually disappear in some time after being given proper treatment. Generally, within 1 month after being treated, the itching and scars will go away on their own. In some people, this condition has to be treated longer to heal.
Please consult a doctor to get the right treatment for this type of scabies. If it lingers for a long time, the skin condition will get worse, generally not due to a mite infection, but because of scratching by the sufferer and causing deeper damage to the skin. If the skin damage gets deeper, other complications can arise that make the scar even more difficult to remove.
Scabies that don't heal can lead to secondary skin infections, for example; impetigo, a scar that is difficult to heal. In people who suffer from impaired immunity, this condition can be more severe and difficult to cure.
Make sure you do not infect other people around you, see if any of these conditions are found in your family members. If there is, also factoring for treatment.
Clean your house, vacuum if necessary, especially in places where mites are nesting such as: carpets, sofas, curtains, beds
Avoid sharing towels and clothes
Dry your mattress and sofa
Avoid scratching the itchy skin, patting it with cold water or applying it if necessary
So, hopefully this helps
