Overcoming Phlegm Accompanied By Blood Spots In The Morning Even Without Coughing?
Good afternoon I want to ask you about my sputum, at that time on 6/01/2020 I was exercising suddenly. I spit out my sputum all of a sudden there were red spots like blood but I didn’t why. Now a few days later I checked at the health center, said he had a sore throat, then I took the medicine, it didn’t work. There was still sputum with red spots while I was taking the medicine from the puskesmas. I arrived hot inside, just yesterday I checked with the doctor about my neck muscles being tense. Yes, I was given medicine to drink it. Suddenly, several people later, I felt my heart pounding, then like tightness, but had no difficulty breathing, I brought my morning rest. the phlegm still has red spots and the chest is filled like that, then my throat has phlegm even though I don’t cough. What should I do?
Hello Henry, thank you for asking.
Phlegm cough is not only caused by respiratory infections. Throat infection or inflammation, smoking habits, allergic reactions, or stomach disorders, can also cause coughing up phlegm. Redness of the sputum may be caused by a sore in the throat or respiratory tract due to the mechanism of coughing. Phlegm cough accompanied by tightness in the chest, discomfort in the throat, or discomfort in the upper abdomen, may be caused by gastric disorders in the form of GERD. In this condition, there is reflux (backflow) contents and acidic gastric sap, from the stomach to the throat. It causes inflammation of the throat mucous tissue which causes coughing.
If you are worried, you can consult with an internist. The doctor may need additional tests such as analysis of blood samples and x-rays. The treatment will be adjusted to the doctor's diagnosis. The thing to note is, therapy often lasts for several weeks. Repairing the disease also requires gradual time. Therefore, follow the advice to take the right medicine. Stay away from cigarettes, limit consumption of sugary drinks, limit soda consumption, avoid greasy foods, and drink lots of water.
Hopefully this answer is helpful. Regards.
