Overcoming PMS Symptoms?
Why, when I’m PMS or during menstruation I can’t control my food intake even though I’m on a diet program, I also feel frequent mood swings that go up and down, like wanting to exercise but feeling lazy. So how do I get rid of my laziness during menstruation? Thank you
Hi Rina, thanks for asking HealthReplies.com
PMS is a sign that will appear when you are about to get your period, usually occurs 1 to 2 weeks before the onset of menstruation, due to hormonal changes. Signs that may arise include:
Increased appetite Sad for no apparent reason Easily irritated Fatigue Cramps in the stomach Blood spots or spots Pain or tightness in the breasts Acne that occurs Muscle pain Anxiety
There are several things that Rina can do for now, including:
Consuming foods that contain calcium can help overcome fatigue Get enough rest Drink plenty of water Avoid caffeinated, alcoholic and fizzy drinks Exercise regularly
If Rina is still in doubt, you should first consult a doctor, to find out the exact cause of the symptoms you are experiencing so that proper examination and treatment can be carried out. The doctor will conduct a thorough interview and examination.
