Overcoming Prolonged Itching After Recovering From Chicken Pox?
Hello. I’m Yunike, I’m 21 years old. 2 months ago I had chicken pox. After recovering, some parts of my body itching did not disappear. For example, waist and back. Itching is the most fitting for coming home from work when I wake up. And more annoying, when scratched and wounded, the wound made an impression. And I have kiloid seeds. What is that? Maybe it can be explained and can be given advice. Thanks. 😊
Hello, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Itching on your body can be caused by various things, including:
- Atopic eczema, characterized by the appearance of itching continuously and reddish skin rashes arise. Can be accompanied by other complaints, such as the skin becomes rough, thickened, and scaly.
- Allergic reactions, the causes of allergies themselves vary between people. Can be allergic to dust, food, cold temperatures, etc.
- Insect stings
- Skin infections
- Scabies / scabies
- and others..
The following you can do at home to reduce complaints: Avoid using clothes that are too tight, use comfortable clothes, use clothes that absorb sweat, maintain good body hygiene, avoid contact with allergy triggers if you have a history of allergies, adequate rest, manage stress well, avoid smoking, avoid alcoholic beverages, and avoid scratching the skin too rough.
If the complaint does not improve, then you should do an examination with a doctor. The doctor will conduct a brief interview, physical examination and additional examinations if needed. The doctor will then give you treatment in accordance with the conditions / results of your examination.
If you feel shortness of breath, decreased awareness, then immediately see a doctor.
Thank you, hope that helps.
