Overcoming Scars Due To Boils?
Evening .. I want to ask. I have a scar from a boil when I was 5 years old on the side of my nose or side of my eye. The wound, the skin is thin like a cut, it bothers me a lot. now I’m 25, is there a recipe for an effective cream to get rid of this scar ???
Hi, the scars you mean are known as keloids or scar tissue in medical language. This keloid occurs as a result of the healing process in an incision, surgical wound or burns which forms new tissue and then becomes scar tissue. This is a normal process, but certainly annoying especially if there are open areas such as the face. The scar that becomes a keloid will be prominent, shiny and darker in color than the surrounding skin. Not all scars will become keloid, this is influenced by genetic factors. There are several ways to treat scars like this, including:
1. Medicines, namely using vitamins C and E from food or dietary supplements, and you can also use an exfoliating cream that contains 2% hydroquinone.
2. Steroid injections
3. Skin dermabrasion.
5. Skin surgery
The choice of treatment method for keloids depends on their severity. We recommend that you consult a dermatologist to get treatment that suits your keloid condition. What you can do before going to the doctor is to take antioxidant supplements such as vitamins C and E and apply a cream containing aloevera, cantella aciatica and vitamin A to treat and prevent the formation of new keloids. Do not scratch an itchy keloid, as this can form new sores that can form keloids.
