Overcoming The Feeling Of Weakness And Lack Of Enthusiasm After A Fever?
Good night,. My wife and I recently had an illness which I assumed was fever and fatigue. Initially my wife was sick, she had a fever, cough, and runny nose. Then it got better but it feels like I contracted it from physical contact, now we’re getting better. However, there are still symptoms of body heat that return after we move outside the house, this does not last long. Feelings of weakness and lack of enthusiasm still linger, what can we do to restore the body’s energy? Then why does body heat still return? Please advise..thank you.
Most fevers are caused by an infection in the body. Fever is the body's natural response to fight infection. Fever is not always a sign of a serious illness. Colds and coughs caused by viruses can also cause fever. Usually, this flu will heal by itself within 5-7 days.
Cold and cough medicines are used to relieve the symptoms, but the virus itself is fought by our immune system. Therefore, during the flu, it is important to keep the immune system functioning properly. The ways that can be done are rest, eat nutritious food, get enough fluids and control stress.
At this time, you can rest and monitor your temperature periodically. If you have a fever (body temperature above 38 degrees Celsius), you can take paracetamol to relieve the fever. If the fever does not go down with fever medicine, or is more than 39 degrees continuously, or accompanied by other symptoms such as loss of consciousness, very weak, diarrhea, vomiting or other things, you should immediately go to the nearest emergency department.
