At night, 2 days ago I fell on the asphalt and my hand was wounded on the back of the hand near the pinky finger, I had wanted to dry even though the wound area was still open, but because I had a lot of activity outside I closed it using sterile gauze but now it becomes wet and runny again the wound even though not exposed to water at all, how to overcome it? Thank you
Hello Raka, Thank you for asking Hello doctor
Let me introduce myself that the doctor will try to answer your question.
Basically, the process of wound formation is divided into 3 stages, namely:
Inflammation or inflammation - where the initial healing process occurs is the accumulation of white fibroblastic blood cells - which is where the formation of scar tissue. Here protein is very important to nourish the skin. Protein which plays an important role is collagen. Maturation - in which the production of collagen or protein is needed at this stage to nourish damaged tissue. If you complain of a wound that doesn't dry out, then there might be a problem at the fibroblastic stage.
There are several factors that cause the wound to not heal, namely:
Environmental factors, less hygienic age, at a young age the wound healing process is faster than old age Nutrition, eating foods that contain high protein can help the wound healing process Infection, the presence of an infection will make the wound worse and will not heal. Then need to be given antibiotic drugs to kill the battery infection. If your wound doesn't heal, there are a number of things you can do to prevent symptoms from worsening, namely:
Avoid wounds exposed to water Clean regularly and periodically to avoid infection rest the wound part of consumption of foods high in protein, such as: egg whites, fish, beans If an infection occurs, which is accompanied by swelling, redness, the presence of pus or blood, then immediately check yourself to see a doctor. So that no more severe infections occur.
