Overcoming White Spots On Children’s Tongues?
How come my son’s tongue has white spots? And there’s a small lump on his neck. Is it related to making the child’s tongue continue to be like that?rnI’ve been checked by a pediatrician in my area..rnAnd the doctor said my son lacks vitamin b intake. Then I was given 2 small bottles of medicine in which there were drops immediately.. after the medicine ran out again.. And finally I gave honey to deal with it and thank God it worked.. But yesterday his tongue was bitten by himself while he was eating.. And made his tongue white again..rnDoc.. I want to ask..rnIs it true that the child lacks vitamins or the effect of a lump on the neck? Please help
Hi Al Haiz.. Thank you for the questions given.
White patches on a child's tongue can be caused by:
Patches of milk that stick Due to lack of cleanliness of the oral cavity Fungal infection -- candida albicans infection which is a normal flora in the mouth but can develop in large numbers if the mouth is not clean and the immune system is low Leukoplakia Complaints on your child's tongue can be something that is not associated with a lump in the neck. A lump in the neck area of a child can be due to:
Enlarged lymph nodes Enlarged thyroid gland Lipoma -- growth of fatty tissue Cyst -- fluid-filled sac If your child's complaints occur continuously and fill the oral cavity, and the lump in the neck is getting bigger, there is a child's growth and development disorder, it's a good idea to have your child checked out to the pediatrician. The doctor will perform a physical examination and may proceed with blood tests, ultrasound so that a diagnosis of your child's complaints can be established.
Meanwhile what you can do:
Take care of your child's oral hygiene, teach them to brush their teeth and drink water after the child drinks milk Give nutritious food and support it with vitamins Avoid holding or massaging the enlarged part of the neck Hopefully useful
