Thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com,
Abnormalities in chapped lips, peeling, and canker sores can indicate the condition of dry mucous lips, infection or irritation due to the use of certain drugs. Part of the lip is not equipped by oil glands to maintain moisture. Therefore, exposure to sunlight or low humidity can make the lips dry.
The condition of dry and chapped lips can be accompanied by inflammation that occurs at the corners of the lips, called as cheilitis. To avoid the condition of dry lips and inflammation, there are several things you can do such as reduce the habit of licking lips, use lip protectors such as lipipbalm, avoid triggering allergic reactions, maintain lip moisture by consuming water, avoid consuming medication, avoid smoking or vape.
It is advisable to consult a doctor regarding the condition of your lips, especially if it has caused an inflammatory reaction in the lip area, bleeding, or blackish areas that do not disappear even after cleaning the lips.
Hopefully this information can help you,
