Packaged Soy Milk?
My doctor is 5 weeks pregnant. Is it okay to drink packaged soy milk in supermarkets and alternate with prenagent pregnant milk?
Hi Andi Mentari .. Thank you for the question given.
Consumption of soy milk is not prohibited for pregnant women. Soy milk contains vitamin A, vitamin B1, and vitamin E; also contains carbohydrates and protein that are good for the body; contains vitamin D, vitamin B12, and zinc. Mothers can continue to consume soy milk as long as the milk is properly processed, clean, and sterile, but you should not consume it excessively during pregnancy, and if the mother is not allergic to the milk of pregnant women then it is better to continue to consume the milk of pregnant women.
Soy milk contains isoflavones which are similar to the hormone estrogen, so they can interfere with pregnancy if the levels are excessive; some pregnant women can also be allergic to soy milk and have complaints such as redness, itching, nausea, and vomiting; and isoflavones in soy milk can also trigger migraines.
It is better if you consult a doctor about what milk is good for pregnant women, and do not forget to eat a nutritionally balanced diet, meet daily water needs, consume vegetables and fruits, avoid raw or undercooked foods, and consume vitamins and minerals such as acids. vitamin C folate, and iron.
