Pain In The Neck After Glandular Tuberculosis Surgery?
hello doctor I want to ask. December I had glandular surgery because of the diagnosis of tuberculosis glands. It has been running for almost 4 months ago and took OAT surgery, but I sometimes experience pain in the neck near the ear (roughly under the ear). Is that really what happened after surgery or what? honestly i’m afraid 🙁
Basically, neck pain can be caused by many factors ranging from mild to serious. For example, neck pain may arise as postoperative residual pain that will slowly disappear as the tissue heals. However, pain can also be caused by other possibilities such as:
the presence of surgical wound infection
there is an infection of the skin around the painful area
pain originating from the cramped neck muscles due to misposition
skin irritation due to use of certain products
injury to the neck
Because of the variety of possibilities, of course a more complete evaluation is needed to help establish the diagnosis and of course the management of the pain, even though the pain may be relieved by a mild pain barrier such as paracetamol. Of course you should visit your doctor again to consult this matter, if indeed the complaint seems annoying. Here we attach an article about neck pain. May be useful.
