Pain In The Skin Without A Rash?
Hello, I have a question. So a few days ago the skin on my left arm felt sore like an insect bite, then I checked my arm and it turned out that there were no animals or insect bite marks. The area that feels is also very small, there are no insect bites, rashes, redness, or bruising. I just let it go, I thought it was only for a moment, it turns out that this is the 3rd day and the pain and soreness is still the same, what kind of disease is it? Then how do you handle it? Thank you
The onset of pain in the skin without being accompanied by a rash on the skin as you are experiencing basically can be caused by several possible causes such as:
Neuropathic pain (pain that occurs due to nerve damage) Early onset of herpes zoster infection Post herpetic neuralgia (pain that occurs after herpes infection) Dermatitis or allergic reaction Viral or bacterial infection Problems with muscles, joints or bones Nerve disorders
If the complaint persists then it's a good idea to see a doctor so that the cause can be traced. The doctor will perform a physical examination and recommend the necessary supporting tests to investigate further, so that appropriate treatment can be given to you according to the underlying cause.
In the meantime, here are some suggestions for what you can do:
If the pain is bothersome, you can take pain relievers such as paracetamol. Warm compresses can help reduce pain. Avoid friction, pressure or massage on the affected skin area. Minimize stress and get enough rest.
