. I have a 53 year old mother. He felt pain in his right leg. from the upper thigh to the back of the knee. It hurts when you walk and bend it. the temperature of his right leg is lower than his left foot. please tell, the possibility of illness suffered by my mother.
The following are some of the conditions that can cause your mother's complaints:
Pain due to physical trauma to the legs Osteoarthritis (arthritis-bone inflammation), is a joint disorder that is generally associated with old age (degenerative disease) Disorders of leg blood flow, for example DVT (Deep-vein thrombosis) Neuropathy (nerve disorders) etc. Direct examination is required to determine the cause of your mother's complaint. If the complaint is very severe or occurs frequently, then your mother should see an orthopedic specialist to determine the cause of the complaint and receive appropriate treatment according to the underlying condition.
The doctor will ask for a history of your mother's complaints, perform a physical examination and additional examinations if necessary. Supportive examinations that can be recommended by doctors are x-rays, ultrasound of blood vessels (Doppler) or nerve-muscle activity (EMG) records.
If your mother's complaints are caused by impaired leg blood flow, the doctor can prescribe blood thinners, healthy lifestyle changes or surgical procedures to overcome them. If the complaint is caused by inflammation of the bone joints, the doctor can prescribe an NSAID class of painkillers or a surgical procedure to overcome the complaint.
Here are suggestions for your mother:
Avoid strenuous physical activity Do a healthy lifestyle Take control as recommended by the doctor Avoid self-medication and consult a doctor if complaints persist or worsen Hopefully this is useful,
