Pain That Feels Mild In The Former Appendix Surgery?
good morning doctor, I underwent appendectomy on February 27. a week after surgery, my stomach is relaxed and I can walk lightly. until the age of my surgery 2 weeks, I felt the pain like before the operation but the pain was mild and not annoying. what should I do doctor? thank you
thank you for the question.
Pain that feels mild in appendicitis, as long as it is not accompanied by other more severe complaints, such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling or watering in the former operation, etc., is often not a dangerous thing. This pain can arise because of scar tissue instead of surgery wounds that are indeed less elastic, so it is less able to accommodate excessive muscle movement. With a warm compress, lots of rest, drink more, do not like to hold bowel movements, relaxation, wear loose clothing, and take medicine paracetamol, often this pain will improve without the need for special treatment.
You need to be vigilant if this pain appears with intense intensity or accompanied by other complaints that are more severe, as mentioned above. Concerned, this pain appears related to surgical scar infections, intestinal adhesions, or disorders of other organs around the lower abdomen, such as the kidneys, bladder, uterus, ovaries, and so on. Consult your doctor or surgeon directly if you find this condition so that treatment can be given according to the cause. If necessary, the doctor may later be able to coordinate with a doctor of internal medicine, or conduct additional examinations (such as ultrasound, x-rays, urine tests, blood tests) in order to give you more optimal treatment.
Hope this helps ...
