Hello, I suffer from GERD and often experience sore throat. but for 1 month now my right neck is a bit painful and sometimes feels hard to swallow, my right ear feels itchy and buzzing, my shoulder and right shoulder hurt. What do you think I am doing?
Hi Bukran .. Thank you for the question.
GERD is a condition that occurs due to the weakening of muscle function that limits the throat and stomach. As a result, stomach acid can either return to the throat causing complaints of heat in the chest, bitter or sour in the mouth, difficulty swallowing, bloating, belching. In addition, this condition also causes GERD sufferers often experience laryngitis / inflammation of the larynx, causing throat pain and hoarseness. Aside from GERD, swallowing pain that you complain about can also occur due to pharyngitis / inflammation in the pharynx, inflammation of the tonsils / tonsillitis.
While complaints of itching and buzzing in the ear can occur due to an external ear infection or middle ear infection. This complaint can occur due to bacterial or viral infections. Complaints to the ear is a good idea for you to consult an ENT doctor if the ear complaints accompanied by decreased hearing, discharge from the ear, there is pain, fever. So the doctor can do a direct examination on the outside and inside of your ear. You can also check with an ENT doctor for complaints of throat and swallowing pain. From there it can be seen whether your throat complaints are caused by a disturbance in the throat or due to the presence of GERD.
