Pain When The Molars Fall Out?
I lost my first molar when I was 14 years old and 12-13 years old. Was it a permanent tooth or milk?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
As explained in your previous thread, generally the first milk graham teeth will fall out at the age of 9 to 11 years and then replaced with permanent teeth. However, this age standard is certainly not a sure thing, because there are people whose first graham teeth have fallen out at a younger age, but some are older.
Pain when a graham tooth dislodges is a very common occurrence due to inflammation of the gums and exposure of the innermost part of the tooth which contains a lot of nerve fibers (pulp). This condition does not necessarily indicate whether the missing tooth is a baby tooth or a permanent tooth.
Clinically, if you don't remember clearly, whether you have had a graham tooth loss before or not, it is difficult to tell which teeth are milk and which are permanent teeth. For that, you should check with your dentist directly for further evaluation. Chances are, if necessary, the doctor will direct you to undergo a panoramic x-ray to assess in more detail the condition of your teeth and mouth. If your previously lost tooth was a baby tooth, then this X-ray will reveal permanent teeth that have not yet erupted.
In the meantime, you can first take paracetamol to reduce the pain you experience.
Hope it helps ..
