Pitting Edema In Preeclampsia.?
In the afternoon, permission to ask if there is edema in preeclampsia without accompanying kidney / heart disease, is it possible if there is no pitting edema? thank you..
Preeclampsia is characterized by hypertension, proteinuria, edema, headaches, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, visual disturbances, and decreased kidney and liver function. Make sure first whether your patient really falls into the category of preeclampsia. Edema may be mild so there is no apparent pitting edema. But you also have to remember that there are other diseases that cause non-pitting edema. It may be that in these patients there are two different conditions simultaneously. If you want to find out more about the theory, please refer to the textbooks and medical journals.
Hopefully this answer can be useful. Regards.
