Positive Anti-HAV Blood Test Results?

at night, I want tny. I just had a blood test on the baby sitter. Tnyt blood results for anti-HAV positive u003e400. Then I checked again for anti-HAV IGm and the results were non-reactive. What I want to ask is, is it still infected with a condition like that or can it infect other people?
1 Answer:
Hi Yessi,
Anti-HAV (Hepatitis A Virus) is an examination carried out to detect the presence of antibodies (proteins formed by the body in response to an antigen/disease) for hepatitis A. this viral infection.
Anti-HAV is generally divided into 2, namely:
IgM Anti HAV, is an antibody that is formed in response to an acute (rapid) infection. Generally undetectable 3-6 months after HAV infection
IgG Anti HAV, is an antibody that is formed in response to chronic (slow) infection. Gives positive results after the infection is treated (cured) and can last for several years
Due to the results of the examination that you attach to the results of non-reactive IgM, it is very likely that the person has had a previous HAV infection and has now been resolved. The HAV virus is not transmitted under these conditions.
However, I still recommend that the person consult directly with the doctor regarding the results of the examination in order to get information that is in accordance with his current health condition.
